About this cause

We house Scout and Guide organisations and provide a safe place for young girls and boys, aged 5-25, to grow, learn, gain self-confidence and take on new experiences. From weekly meetings to weekend camps and trips, we study and deliver the Scout and Guide curriculum's and present a wide variety in programmed activities and trips for children in the local area. We have been providing these opportunities for over 35 years and currently have over 100 children attending on a weekly basis, each evening led by trained volunteers who give up their time freely and willingly. We charge as little as possible to not alienate any struggling families in the community.

How this cause brings people in the community together

We are one of the busiest Scouting and Guiding groups in Heywood. We hope to continuing providing young children a safe space to enjoy Scouting and Guiding for decades to come. We own our own building therefore we are able to offer it out to the community for events or projects.
