We are undertaking a major refurb. We hope it will attract more users enabling us to provide a great venue for the residents of Fishburn.
About this cause
• Improve health and well-being of community members of all ages • Reduce social isolation and combat loneliness • Improve skills and knowledge of young people and adults • Increase employ-ability of young people and adults • Increase financial capability of adults of all ages • Improve the local environment • Reduce anti-social behaviour, particularly amongst young people • Provide a warm and welcoming facility for all members of the local community.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We have already raised the necessary funds to completely redecorate all of the main areas within the centre. This has been met with an overwhelming response from the local community which has in term been instrumental in the increase in bookings. Phase ll) We would like to replace the archaic toilet facilities here at the Centre, this would be more environmentally friendly and would greatly improve the appearance of the Community Centre. The refurbishment programme is a means to attracting more centre users to ensure sustainability.
