This year we hope to continue to raise funds for new technology and to boost reading materials at school.
About this cause
FoHPS aims are simple, raise smiles and funds. We aim to provide fun, family orientated events that are not cost-prohibitive to families at school and the local community. All children should have the chance to fulfill their full potential and we do all we can to help fund the resources to enable this. We fund requests made by the teaching and wider staff community, the school council (an elected pupil body). We aim to make donations that benefit as many pupils as possible in a range of areas. Recent donations include money towards the purchase of a whole school reading scheme, ipads plus educational apps, stage lighting maths, science, sports and playground equipment! We have committed to funding books as they are the bedrock of learning and technology as a key tool for future careers.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Last year we ran festive events leading up to the end of term. The school choir sang and Year 6 children were involved, running stalls and helping younger children. Our events are an opportunity for the children and the school to engage in their community and contribute in a range of ways. These opportunities to foster positive relations and offer real life experiences are priceless. To be able to facilitate this whilst raising funds that help raise attainment, enrich learning and aid these children to becoming well-rounded, happy, healthy adults that seek to be part of their community is an absolute pleasure. All funds we raise adds to our ability to give opportunities.
