About this cause

HTNW is a regional building preservation trust looking after historic buildings in Lancashire. Lytham Hall is one of these buildings, complete with historic parkland. This site gets used by people in the Fylde area for walks on a daily basis, hosts regular events and a weekly parkrun.

How this cause brings people in the community together

Lytham Hall, a Grade I listed country house, is set in 78 acres of parkland. These are fully accessible and contain woodlands, lawns, a new kitchen garden and a newly restored parterre garden. It offers the setting for a full events programme and a popular tea room and welcomes around 40,000 people a year, mostly free of charge. Investment from Co-op would enable us and our 130 volunteers to buy specialist plants for our parterre and herbaceous border, create a woodland exhibition in one of our outbuildings and improve our signage. The work will be done by volunteers from our community and will benefit schools, health groups, visiting groups like horticultural, church, women's institute.
