About this cause
Coxhoe Village Hall Playgroup has been welcoming local pre-school children, babies, toddlers & their families to enjoy the spacious village hall & the company of others for well over 20 years. Daily morning sessions are supported by community volunteers & offer an increasing range of activities & play opportunities. The Village Hall plans to continue to work closely with local families & early years networks to make further improvements to the activities & the play equipment we can offer. The playgroup allows families, from Coxhoe, Quarrington Hill and surrounding villages to meet and socialise, offering a chance for play and some relaxed learning. Being, local and accessible, we welcome and encourage participation from parents & carers to enhance the friendly, fun experience.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Coxhoe Village Hall Playgroup is a long-standing, daily play session that welcomes local families from Coxhoe, Quarrington Hill & other surrounding villages to enjoy play activities & socialise together in a warm & safe indoor community setting. The play provision is volunteer led. If we were able to purchase new high-quality, soft play apparatus, it will allow the babies & toddlers to enjoy new, engaging experiences which may encourage more physical activity & also provide a stimulating & relaxing learning environment away from home or nursery. The new equipment will improve the range of activities the children can participate in and we would like to provide parents & carers a local venue that can begin to rival larger, commercial play centres that may not be affordable to everyone.
