We want to provide affordable local childcare, and exciting new equipment to enhance the learning experiences of our children.
About this cause
St Agnes Day Nursery provides childcare and nursery education in an inclusive, enabling environment, where children learn through play at their own pace, within a broad and balanced curriculum, which caters for the individual needs of each child. We provide a wraparound care service to children from 3 to 11 years old, thus enabling their parents to go to work, knowing their children are well cared for by qualified, caring staff in a safe, secure and stimulating environment. We provide opportunities within the community through apprenticeships and by delivering training placements for young people studying for childcare qualifications in conjunction with local schools and colleges, thereby helping young people to obtain secure, rewarding employment.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would like to provide new outdoor equipment to enhance the learning experience of all children attending our nursery and wraparound care. This would also contribute to their health and physical development through encouraging outdoor activity. Our college students on placement would benefit through supporting the children in their play, thus learning how children learn and develop through outdoor activities and exploration. We would like to fund educational trips for nursery and holiday club attenders, thus making exciting, interesting childcare available to parents at affordable prices. We would like to fund further trips to a local care home to entertain the residents, and to teach the children about their local community. Parents, children, and young people, all benefit.
