We want to buy a school mini-bus for the students of our community High School.
About this cause
We are a group of parents and teachers who fundraise to buy the Cottingham High school additional educational items, fund trips, musical /drama events for the students. We are trying to raise enough money to buy a mini bus for the children which will be used to attend sporting events and field trips, transport students from after school clubs and making sure children get home safely after extra educational sessions held after school has finished.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Presently the school has to hire a mini bus, which costs in excess of £2,000 a year. If we could buy a mini-bus, not only would it save the school money, but it would be used to take more students on educational trips, such as geography/history and to compete in sporting events. It would also allow the school to transport children home safely after extra teaching sessions which are held out of school hours.
