People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We'd like to transform a concrete playground into a vibrant, challenging, exciting and fulfilling play area for children to enjoy throughout the school day.
About this cause
We aim to enhance our school's playground into a vibrant, challenging, exciting play area for 840 children to enjoy during their school day. Studies have shown that climbing equipment offers exploration and confidence building for children and can increase balance and upper body strength, while exposure to greenery can improve memory and attention in the classroom.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would like to enhance our outdoor space to create structures that facilitate children's play, give opportunities for improving balance and upper body strength, and provide areas for physical and imaginative play that please the eye and calm the mind. Thoughtful play areas can improve confidence, physical strength and focus in class.
