Revival café & Well-being peer support and mentoring
People: Improving people’s mental wellbeing
We wish to pay for mental health first aid and mentoring/peer support training for 20 staff/volunteers and provide ongoing clinical supervision for our outreach and mental health support to locals.
About this cause
Revival is a social enterprise set up by Mind in Bexley & East Kent, run as a self-funding not-for-profit. It aims to challenge mental health stigma, raise awareness and support the local community via its peer support and wellbeing initiatives, reducing isolation, improving local connection and wellbeing and supporting/mentoring for local residents in mental health via our referral pathways.
How this cause brings people in the community together
The partnership relies on community members volunteering or working to support one another. As peer mentors, they use their training and lived experience to support and improve the mental health and wellbeing of their mentees. Mentors will signpost to local support networks, groups and activities to improve local knowledge and connection. The programme is goal-oriented for positive wellbeing.
