Our film production trainees would make a film showing how Bromley-By-Bow Centre has met the needs of its most vulnerable communities during Covid-19, highlighting community strengths and weaknesses.
About this cause
We promote community-wide participation in the arts, enabling people from a diversity of backgrounds to realise their creative talents and learn new skills through engaging together in film and photography projects. These projects promote community cohesion, address issues of local importance, celebrate achievements and promote the social, cultural and artistic life of East London.
How this cause brings people in the community together
We would bring together local residents from a diversity of ages, genders and ethnicities to film their Covid-19 experiences. We would put on local screenings with opportunities for audience discussion. This would contribute to community cohesion, help reduce isolation, facilitate new and supportive social connections and networks, and create an enhanced sense of community wellbeing.
