We want to give children extra activities like farm visits and hatching chicks to enhance their learning of the world around them.
About this cause
We are a committee run pre-school and we provide early years education to children ranging from 2-5 years. We are located in the Rush Hill United Reformed Church in Odd Down Bath. We have families mostly from the local area and some from other areas of Bath. It is very rewarding to see the children develop and be ready to go on to school. We work with children who have English as an additional language and help them to develop their English speaking. We have an excellent record with children who have special Educational Needs whose transition to school is much less stressful for the child and family because of the extra work we put in.
How this cause brings people in the community together
Sunshine has been serving the Odd Down community for more than 40 years and we now have children and grandchildren of former pupils who come to us. By giving the children these enhanced educational experiences their learning will be more fun and it will help them develop. There are several experiences that we would like to provide and if we are successful we can book them without having to worry about how we will pay for them
